Dutch company wins award at the 34th edition of IPM Essen

From 26 to 29 January the 34th edition of IPM took place in Essen. Companies from different countries had the oppertunity to display their best assortments during the event. The IPM 2016 was visited by even more people than previous years with 57.200 visitors. This year there were 1585 exhibitors present coming from 48 different countries. 

Dutch company wins the Grower of the Year Awards 2016

During the finals of the AIPH International Grower of the Year Awards 2016, the jury awarded Florensis with the “Gold” award in the category ‘Young Plants’. As the winner of this award Florensis, with Costa Farms (winner ‘Finished Plants & Trees) and Arcadia Chrysanthemums (winner’ Cut Flowers), was assessed for the overall and most prestigious award, the coveted ‘Gold Rose’ which is awarded to the global AIPH International Grower of the Year. Director Leo Hoogendoorn from Werkendam: “Florensis is proud and pleased with their global ‘Gold’ award in the category ‘Young Plants. We would like to thank everyone for the reactions that we received since our nomination”.

Show Your Colours Award IPM 2016

The Show Your Colours IPM Award 2016 went to the the Hydrangea macrophylla hybrid (Hochzeits-Hortensie) from Helmers Baumschulen GmbH. The nominated plants and concepts were showcased in two different places. In both places the visitors had the oppertunity to reward their favorite plant/concept with their vote. In addition, it was possible to cast your vote online through the website of IPM Essen and Bizz Communications. On Thursday the votes together with the evaluation of a jury resulted in the award for the Hochzeits-Hortensie.
